Ladies and Gentlemen,

The theme of the September issue of “Magazyn Stomatologiczny” is “ORTHODONTICS AT THE FRONTIERS OF BIOLOGY.” We asked Professor Liliana Szyszka-Sommerfeld, a member of our Scientific Council, an orthodontic specialist and head of the Independent Laboratory of Propaedeutics of Orthodontics and Congenital Facial Malformations at the Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin, who is also the co-author of one of the three very interesting articles featured in this section. You’ll find another set of five case studies in our regular “PRACTICAL DENTISTRY” column. I was intrigued by an article describing digitally planned and laser-assisted immediate implantation in the area of tooth 16, combined with a simultaneous closed maxillary sinus floor elevation and hard and soft tissue augmentation.

At the end of this issue, in the VADEMECUM section, we have included an article on providing dental care to patients with trigeminal neuralgia.

Although summer is coming to an end, Poland’s golden autumn is just beginning. No wind or driving rain, but the sun wasn’t as warm as it is in the summer. And that’s exactly the kind of weather I wish for you!
